"For this iconic women’s shoe salon - the largest shoe floor in the world - the intent was to embrace the heritage of Macy’s, pay tribute to the building architecture and incorporate technology with glass, light and media. The volume of traffic in this store is extraordinary so the materials had to be of the highest durability. End Grain Wood Block delineated one of the lifestyle zones, and classic hardwood floor was installed throughout in a herringbone pattern to recall the history of this 112-year-old department store."
